AERODROME RUNWAY - High Court Action

Final High Court decision reached for the original appeal decision to be reinstated and the Aerodrome application REFUSED.

This decision followed an appeal by The Secretary of State and also the Local Authorities (Tandridge plus Reigate and Banstead) against an earlier High Court decision questioning the interpretation of NPPF.

Hopefully this will put an end to RAV attempts to expand into a regional airport.

The Government Green Belt policy remains intact despite any possible confusion over interpretation of NPPF.

The original decision at the Appeal Inquiry to REFUSE the proposed plan for a 1349metre hard runway was on the basis that
THIS IS AN INAPPROPRIATE DEVELOPMENT WHICH WOULD CAUSE HARM TO THE GREEN BELT.
